KAZAKH INVEST Supports Projects in Industry, Tourism, and Social Sector

Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST" Yerzhan Yelekeyev visited Almaty and the Almaty region, where he held meetings with business representatives and government officials. The discussions focused on attracting investments, developing the region's industrial and tourism potential, and creating new jobs.

During meetings with Deputy Akim of the Almaty region Rustam Issatayev, issues of infrastructure development, simplifying procedures for the "landing" of investment projects, and increasing the investment attractiveness of the region were discussed. The importance of cooperation between the state and business in implementing strategic initiatives was emphasized.

As part of the visit, negotiations were held with the management of Shin-Line, one of the largest ice cream producers in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The company signed an investment agreement to expand its production capacities, which will significantly increase production volumes and strengthen its position in the international market. Currently, the enterprise employs more than 3,000 people, and as part of its expansion strategy into foreign markets, Shin-Line aims to enter the top 10 global ice cream exporters.

In addition to expanding production, Shin-Line is actively developing social initiatives. In cooperation with South Korean partners, the company has begun construction of a 200-bed hospital in the village of Baiserke, which will significantly improve the level of medical care in the region. Large-scale residential construction has also begun, which will provide housing for the company's employees and local residents. In the future, Shin-Line plans to become a city-forming enterprise, playing a key role in the economic development of the area.

A meeting was held with the management of Oi Qaraqai, during which issues of removing administrative barriers to the implementation of the investment project and the possibility of signing an investment agreement were discussed. The company plans a large-scale expansion of the ski resort, including the construction of a new four-star hotel, additional mountain slopes, cable cars, and paragliding infrastructure. The total investment volume is estimated at $150 million, and the implementation of the project will create more than 1,200 jobs.

Yerzhan Yelekeyev also visited the PepsiCo construction site, where active construction of a new plant is underway. The project is being implemented with the support of government agencies and is aimed at developing Kazakhstan's processing industry. Construction is expected to be completed by 2026, and the launch of technical production will increase local production volumes and export supplies.

The South Korean company Roen provided an update on the status of its $38 million landfill gas power plant project in the Almaty region. During the negotiations, opportunities for expanding cooperation with South Korean companies in the field of green energy were also discussed.

During the meetings, Yerzhan Yelekeyev emphasized that KAZAKH INVEST is ready to support investors at all stages of project implementation, contributing to the attraction of strategic investors, the modernization of industry, and the development of tourism and social infrastructure.
